I am delighted to announce that Aitchison is in the process of becoming a Duke of Edinburgh school. This is a globally recognized award that involves service, skills, physical recreation and adventure that ultimately develops the personality of an award participant that is a direct contribution to nation building. The Duke of Edinburgh International Award also illuminates the C.V or resume of award recipients. The Award is duly recognized in Pakistan and across the world among local and multinational corporations. The Western world and developed countries recognize the award program and this helps with seeking admissions, visas, migrations and employment in these countries.
The existing sports and co-curricular programs will fit neatly into the Duke of Edinburgh list of possible activities that include: Community Service, Skills, Physical Recreation and Expedition and Exploration. The Award program offers Bronze, Silver and Gold achievement categories.
Students will be addressed in our next Friday Assembly, October 14. Boys aged 14 and upwards are eligible through school time and spare time.
