Aitchison College initiates the MIT Launch Club

Aitchison College was selected as the first school in Pakistan to initiate the MIT Launch Club. Launch provides materials and mentorship support to high schools throughout the school year to allow students to develop entrepreneurial skills and mindset by launching startups. This is not a business plan contest. The aim is to create a real startup – to solve a real need in a differentiated way. The focus is on taking action, learning from results, and making changes to improve chances of success.

The MIT Launch Club held the Blastoff event on the 16th of September 2017. The Blastoff event is held internationally at various schools on this date. The event served as an orientation for what promises to be a busy year full of learning for our budding entrepreneurs. The theme for the Launch Clubs was also announced at the event. This year, the boys will be creating startups to target the problem of environmental sustainability. At this event, a general outline of the course of work to be followed throughout the entire year was provided. An online speech given by Laurie Stach, Executive Director of the MIT Entrepreneurship Centre was also streamed. We now look forward to what promises to be an exciting adventure for our budding entrepreneurs.
