Principal's Letter September 17

Dear Parents,

Aitchison College is committed to promoting integrated and creative thinking in boys, including the embedding of strong core knowledge in all subjects. In this we are guided by the Cambridge Primary Curriculum, and now the SNC as a minimum requirement, as directed by the Government. However, we are influenced by many other resources too, including online, that stimulate learning outcomes. Your teacher knows how these resources are to be employed in your son's class. 

I am glad that parents have received SNC texts as this will enable them to make their own judgments on the quality of production and construction. Please direct helpful comments to the Provincial Minister of Punjab for School Education. As I indicated weeks ago, Aitchison is approaching the incorporation of the SNC in the right spirit. Aitchison boys will march through this teething exercise comfortably, while the focus of my attention is set directly on the Junior School and supporting our magnificent staff. Our broad and engaging curriculum will not suffer.

Personally speaking, too much emphasis is being placed on texts and not enough on inspiring teaching and classroom engagement. These are the skills that truly matter! A number is a number and a word a word until an educational journey elevates exciting possibilities. Ideas and inspiration come from many sources, just as the best teachers sometimes come in strange guises. 

Aitchison parents should have faith in the College to deliver a world class education.
