AITCHISON BUILDS FOR AN EDUCATIONAL FUTURE

The Board Sub Committee has approved the construction of a further senior boarding house and additional science building to continue the college's strong growth. The science extension will be located between the chemistry laboratories and the Tiwana building. As well as for teaching purposes, it will double as a centre for interests in artificial intelligence, astrophysics and biochemistry. We will also add to online learning facilities. In addition, all senior chemistry laboratories will be upgraded to the highest standard over the summer break. Both building projects will commence from August/September 2021 respectively with minimal interference to the school. The science extension will include a new senior cafe and landscaped area with seating and naturally shaded areas.

Major improvements to the Monnoo Squash Complex and Tennis Hardcourts will also begin by August 2021. I am pleased to report that the K&N's boarding house is proceeding on schedule for its inauguration in August 2022.
