Nuts & Bolts: A Teacher's Toolkit - A Powerful Start to Aitchison's Summer School 2025

The much-anticipated Summer School 2025 at Aitchison College launched with a resounding success as Nuts & Bolts: A Teacher’s Toolkit kicked off on a high note. The Opening Ceremony welcomed a full house of educators from Lahore and beyond, all united by a shared commitment to excellence in teaching.

Dr. Faisal Bari delivered a deeply thought-provoking keynote address that challenged conventional paradigms and reimagined the future of education. Joining us as Chief Guest, Dr. Tayyaba Tamim offered inspiring words of encouragement and underscored the importance of teacher development in today’s rapidly evolving academic landscape.

A major highlight of Day 1 was the panel discussion on “Fostering a culture of continuous improvement,” featuring prominent voices in education: Mr. Ali Raza (Group Director, Beaconhouse), Ms. Amina Kamran (Head of Senior School, Aitchison College), and Dr. Naila Burney (Head of Admissions, Local & International - Except US). Moderated by Samara Salahuddin, the session sparked in-depth conversation around sustainable professional development, adaptive leadership, and reflective practice. The interactive Q&A session further enriched the dialogue, as attendees posed insightful questions that bridged theory with practice.

Bringing a creative twist to pedagogical exploration, the Insight Hour led by acclaimed artist Kanwal Khoosat was nothing short of electrifying. Through the lens of improvisation, she invited participants to rethink their classroom presence — emphasizing spontaneity, responsiveness, and creativity as powerful tools in teaching. The session encouraged educators to step outside their comfort zones, embrace the unexpected, and experience first-hand the value of adaptability and engagement in real-time classroom scenarios.
