Eloquence Sways: Senior School Students Shine at the Malik Chiragh Cup


The Malik Chiragh Challenge Cup was held with great enthusiasm and distinction on January 20, 2026, at Aitchison College, showcasing the prowess of Senior School students in intellectual confidence, eloquence, and critical thinking.

A total of 11 speakers from H1 and H2 competed in the final round, delivering well-researched and compelling speeches on a range of thought-provoking topics. The competition was intense and fiercely contested, with participants demonstrating exceptional clarity of thought, confidence, and persuasive skill. The standard of speaking throughout the event reflected the College’s strong academic and co-curricular traditions.

The event was judged by four distinguished Aitchison Old Boys — Mr Hashaam Riaz Sheikh, Mr Adil Bandial, Mr Ali Zafar, and Mr Haider Azhar Malik — whose insightful feedback and fair evaluation added immense value and credibility to the competition. Their presence also inspired the young speakers, reinforcing the enduring bond between the College and its alumni.

The competition was honored by the presence of Principal Aitchison College, Dr S.M. Turab Hussain, Headmistress of the Senior School, Ms Amina Kamran, senior school teachers, and a large number of students, creating an atmosphere of encouragement and academic excitement.
