Aitchison Squash Team Dominates in England
The Aitchison College Squash Team undertook a whirlwind tour of London, the United Kingdom, from November 10th to 16th, 2025. During the tour, our students competed against some of the most prestigious schools and clubs in the country. Results of the matches:
The encounters at Harrow School and Bancroft School were particularly thrilling. During these intense and nerve-racking contests, the spectators remained on the edge of their seats, their attention riveted. In contrast, the matches against the remaining opponents were easy and resulted in emphatic victories. Our students demonstrated exceptional squash skills, racket mastery, and remarkable endurance.
The Aitchison College team also visited one of the oldest, most prestigious, and monumental cricketing grounds, "Lord's". It was a great learning experience for our students. They met with the curator and management, who shared the ground's rich cricketing history.
Guidance and Grit: An Evening with Mr Azam Jamil
On 12th November 2025, Kelly House was honoured to host a guest speaker session with Mr Azam Jamil, an esteemed alumnus of Aitchison College. During his visit, Mr Azam shared compelling stories from his years at Aitchison and beyond. He also reflected on the lessons that shaped his journey. Drawing on both his personal experiences and professional accomplishments, he offered thoughtful guidance on navigating challenging situations with resilience, discipline, integrity, and a positive mindset.
He encouraged students to make the most of every opportunity, to value the people who support them, and to reflect on their goals and purpose regularly. His engaging narrative and practical wisdom left a profound impact on all those in attendance. The session not only inspired the boys but also equipped them with a strengthened sense of confidence and purposeful direction in their lives.
A Celebration of Excellence
The Principal’s High Achievers Tea Party, held on Friday, November 14th, 2025, at the Principal’s Residence, was a distinguished celebration of academic excellence. Students from Prep School and Senior School, along with their parents, were invited to this special event in recognition of their remarkable academic achievements. The Principal of Aitchison College, Dr. S. M. Turab Hussain, addressed the audience with heartfelt appreciation and admiration for the students’ exceptional results. He praised their commitment to excellence and acknowledged the unwavering support of parents and teachers in shaping their success. The event not only celebrated high achievers but also served as an inspiration for all students to continue striving for academic distinction. It was a memorable afternoon filled with pride, encouragement, and the spirit of achievement, reflecting the College’s enduring tradition of nurturing excellence.
Staging History: The Tale of Tipu Sultan
Aitchison College, Senior School Dramatic Society, “Bazm-e-Tamseel,” staged its annual Urdu play, showcasing immense artistic dedication and powerful storytelling. After nearly three months of tireless after-school rehearsals, the talented cast brought the stage to life with remarkable passion and skill. The Principal, Dr. S.M. Turab Hussain, along with the administration and students, praised the cast for their powerful performance that was both meaningful and humorous.
The play revolves around the story of the great Indian ruler Tipu Sultan, known as the “Tiger of Mysore”. This undefeated ruler defied threats from both the Maratha Confederacy and the British East India Company but was ultimately betrayed by his trusted aide, Mir Sadiq. In a fierce final battle, Tipu sacrificed his precious life, refusing to bow to the British or surrender.
Through this powerful story, the play highlighted timeless themes of bravery, loyalty, honour, and betrayal. The play earned profound admiration from the audience, endorsing the stunning performance of our students and staff.
Red Alert: Pollution Causes Existential Threat
The Department of Science, Aitchison College, Prep School, hosted an engaging session on Friday, October 31, 2025, featuring Ms. Nazifa, a Director at WWF, as the guest speaker. The session aimed to raise awareness among our students about urgent environmental issues and their harmful impacts on our planet. Ms. Nazifa delivered an inspiring and informative talk, emphasising the importance of ecological conservation and the role each individual can play in protecting Mother Nature. She highlighted the urgent need to adopt sustainable practices and make conscious choices in everyday life, reducing pollution and preserving biodiversity.
Checkmate: Prep School Chess Society Makes a Winning Move
The Aitchison College, Prep School Chess Society recently introduced the game of chess to students at Aitchison College Campus Girls High School with an engaging workshop for beginners. Led by the Staff Advisor and Executive Members, the session focused on teaching the fundamentals of chess to the students, while emphasising strategy, problem-solving, and teamwork.
The event was filled with enthusiasm as students eagerly embraced challenges, interacted with peers, and shared ideas for upcoming tournaments and skill-building sessions.
Curtain Up on Confidence: Junior School Annual Plays
The much-awaited Lower Primary Annual Plays of Junior School were held on Thursday, 23rd October 2025. Mr. Noor Ul Hassan graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The annual English and Urdu plays were a spectacular celebration of talent, creativity, and teamwork.
The stage came alive with colours, music, and energy as our young performers confidently brought their characters to life. The plays not only highlighted their dramatic skills but also encouraged important values such as empathy, honesty, and responsible decision-making.
Every detail, from the imaginative costumes and vibrant props to the lively songs and seamless coordination, reflected the hard work and dedication of our young learners and teachers. The joy and confidence shining on their faces made the event truly memorable.
A Spectacular Night of Drama: Upper Primary Annual Plays
Junior School, the Upper Primary Annual Plays were held on Friday, October 24th, 2025. We were joined by Mr. Faran Tahir as the Chief Guest. It was a delightful showcase of creativity, confidence, and collaboration. Our talented young actors brought the stage to life with their expressive performances, engaging dialogues, and heartfelt emotions. The plays beautifully blended humour, music, and meaningful messages, reminding us of the importance of kindness, honesty, and responsible use of technology, all delivered through engaging scripts and expressive performances.
Each scene reflected weeks of preparation and teamwork, from learning dialogues and perfecting expressions to coordinating costumes and props. The young performers impressed everyone with their stage presence, delivering their roles with poise and enthusiasm. The applause and cheerful smiles from the audience were proof that the evening was a great success—a celebration of learning, imagination, and joy.
Bright Smiles, Healthy Habits: Dental Awareness Session at Junior School
A Dental Health Awareness Session was organised in the Junior School on Tuesday, 11th November 2025, for learners of K5 and K6. This informative session aimed to raise awareness about the importance of oral care and to encourage healthy dental hygiene habits among our students.
The session was conducted by Dr. Shanze Mirza, a leading orthodontist and dental practitioner. Through an engaging 20-minute presentation on dental problems, oral hygiene, and preventive care, Dr. Mirza highlighted common oral health issues faced by children aged 10 to 13 years. She also offered practical guidance on effective brushing techniques, healthy eating habits, and the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene. A brief question-and-answer session followed, during which Dr. Mirza thoughtfully addressed the learners’ dental queries.
As a follow-up to the presentation, a mobile dental clinic was brought to the campus, allowing students to observe dental tools and equipment firsthand and gain valuable insight into maintaining strong and healthy teeth.
TLC Launches New Talk Series: Voices of Insight
The Aitchison College Teaching & Learning Centre (TLC) proudly marked its first anniversary with the inaugural session of its Voices of Insight series — “Pre-1947 Multifaith Roots of Aitchison College: A Personal & Historical Journey.”
Dr. Tarunjit Singh Butalia joined Dr. Yaqoob Bangash in an engaging conversation that traced the College’s rich multifaith heritage spanning nearly 140 years.
The discussion offered valuable insights into Aitchison’s inclusive past and enduring values reminding us how shared history continues to shape our identity today.

Turning Pages, Building Futures: Book Fair at Prep School
Aitchison College, Prep School, hosted a lively Book Fair on October 28th and 29th, 2025. The fair showcased a wide variety of books that captivated both students and teachers. The event buzzed with energy as the visitors eagerly explored the booths, discovering new titles and genres. Teachers participated actively, encouraging young readers to develop a lifelong love for books. The fair effectively created an engaging environment of curiosity, learning, and literary enjoyment throughout the school.
A Verdict Against the Heart: Prep School Urdu Play
On 31st October 2025, the Urdu Dramatic Society of Aitchison College, Prep School, staged its Annual Urdu play, “Qurtaba ka Qazi”. The play captivated the audience with its powerful portrayal of true justice and moral courage. The production depicted a Judge or “Qazi” whose unflinching decision to uphold the law, even when it meant sentencing his own son to execution, was a moment that symbolised the supremacy of justice over kinship and emotions. The gripping performances, heartfelt dialogues, seamless direction, costumes, and background stage kept the audience spellbound. Every scene reflected months of dedication, teamwork, and artistic brilliance.
As the curtain fell, the hall resonated with thunderous applause and a standing ovation led by the esteemed Principal, marking the play as one of the most memorable performances. More than a theatrical success, “Qurtaba ka Qazi” stood as a timeless reminder that true justice, however painful, remains the foundation of an honourable society. Kudos to the teachers and students who worked tirelessly to make the production such a success.
