Connecting Aitchisonians to the World

The month of September featured two enriching networking sessions hosted by Aitchison College, the US Admissions Counselling Department. We were honoured to welcome back Dr. Daniel Saud, Assistant Dean of International Admissions at the University of Arizona and a proud Old Aitchisonian, who shared his insights into the university’s dynamic programmes and global opportunities.

We also connected virtually with Abigail St. Johns, Associate Director of Admissions at Colby College, one of America’s leading liberal arts institutions known for its academic rigour and close-knit community.

These engagements reflect Aitchison’s enduring legacy of preparing young men to explore the best global opportunities with confidence, curiosity, and purpose.

Guiding Futures, Honouring Tradition

Earlier in September, the University Counsellors engaged with C1 and C2 students and their parents. These sessions underscored a vital truth: the journey to university success begins early.

Hosted in the timeless hall of the Old Building and the auditorium in Barry Block, these conversations reflect Aitchison’s enduring legacy of preparing young men not only for admissions but also for lives of purpose and leadership.

Here’s to informed choices, early action, and charting futures with confidence.

Tour to the National Museum of Science and Technology

“Mathematics is not about numbers, equations, computations, or algorithms: it is about understanding…”  – William Paul Thurston

How do you turn mathematical theory into a tangible, exciting reality? The answer was a trip to the National Museum of Science and Technology, Lahore. That is why we took our students on a visit to UET on September 13th, 2025. This enriching experience was specially arranged for students who excelled in the Annual Math Competitions—including Tessellation, Poster Design, Digital Math, and Quiz Competitions—as well as for the dedicated organisers of the Inter-School Math Olympiad and Exhibition held during the 2024–2025 academic year.

The museum's interactive exhibits allowed our students to explore the concepts they learn in class, connecting them to real-world technologies and scientific breakthroughs. It was a powerful reminder that maths is the hidden language behind so much of our modern world.

The trip was not only educational but also incredibly inspiring. Congratulations again to all our students and their teachers.
